St. Bernardus Bash

It’s that time of year again! At least once a year we host our friends from St. Bernardus and D&V International Importers to celebrate our relationship with this world-class abbey brewery. This year, we have something particularly special to share with you. Read on for the full beer list; we can also confirm we’ll be opening one of our 6L Methusalem bottles of St. Bernardus Abt 12, and raffling off a few goodies!
St. Bernardus Abt 12 – Abbey Quadrupel – 10.5% abv
It’s still borderline unbelievable to us that a beer this assertive, nuanced, and complex could outsell anything else we serve by a mile. And yet, year after year, it does just that. Exceeding even some authentic Trappist ales in flavor and quality, this quad is rich and figgy, with toffee malt notes and surprisingly clean finish.
St. Bernardus Christmas Ale – Abbey Strong Ale w/Spices – 10% abv
A slightly different quad recipe meant to underscore the addition of classic holiday spices. A phenomenal beer in its own right.
St. Bernardus Wit – Belgian Witbier – 5.5% abv
This refreshing classic was developed under the supervision of Pierre Celis, original creator of Hoegaarden. LEGIT.
St. Bernardus 60th Anniversary – Abbey Quadrupel – 11% abv
This one requires a little bit of explanation. First off, it’s important to note that St. Bernardus recently celebrated their 70th anniversary. So, math. Also, this is not a re-brew; this is literally a case of 750ml bottles that the St. Bernardus brewery aged for ten years and then shipped to us. It’s technically not classic Abt 12; this beer was brewed for their anniversary, using a few different malts and hops. But still: this is a St. Bernardus quad, legitimately aged for ten years. Come get some.
The first three beers will all be on tap, and all will be available by the glass. The 60th Anniversary beer will be available exclusively in a specially priced flight!
