Madison Craft Beer Week @ Brasserie V
May 4, 2018 @ 5:00 pm - May 11, 2018 @ 11:00 pm
We’ve got a lot going on at Brasserie V for Madison Craft Beer Week, so this page right here is your one-shot info-stop for all of our special events that week! You can also check out the MCBW guide over at MadBeerWeek.com, but we’ll be updating things with a few more details and, who knows, another small event or two right here.
Friday, May 4th – 3 Sheeps Brewing
For the second straight year, we’re kicking off MCBW with our buds from 3 Sheeps! See below for the current list, but be on the lookout for details regarding another special keg or two and a custom gravity-poured pin:
One-Way IPA – Exclusive to Monroe Street! All Simcoe and Galaxy hops.
Veneration 2018 – Belgian style quadrupel aged on rye whiskey barrels w/dates, figs, & molasses
Roll Out the Barrel – Belgian style golden strong ale aged on Chardonnay barrels
Uber Joe – Imperial coffee stout aged on maple wood
Cuvee 2018 – Blend of four different barrel-aged beers
Barrel Aged Uber Joe – Like it says…
Fresh Coast (firkin) – Still waiting for details on this one…
Saturday, May 5th – Working Draft DDH Pulp Culture Crowler Release
Our friends at Working Draft have a killer IPA called Pulp Culture, and you should absolutely go and try it, like, now. But on Saturday they’ll be releasing a very special double dry-hopped version of it ONLY at their taproom and here at Brasserie V. Fun wrinkle: we’ll have a keg of the standard Pulp Culture, and 12 pre-filled crowlers of the DDH version for sale (to-go or onsite). So get down here and grab yours before they’re gone!
Tuesday, May 8th – Door County/Hacienda Beer Company
Also for the second straight year, we’re teaming up with our friends from Door County & Hacienda for a gamut of great beers. We’re especially happy to have the Hacienda brand here, as their flagship IPA Everything Eventually was originally a custom beer for Brasserie V during Beer Week 2017:
Hacienda Let Me Tell You About My Boat – Strawberry Milkshake IPA
Hacienda Everything Eventually (Mosaic Double Dry Hopped) – Hazy Pale Ale
Hacienda Only Time is Party Time – Imperial milk stout w/coconut & coffee
Hacienda Le Printemps – Spring saison with local honey
Hacienda Vertigogo – Imperial milk stout w/espresso & cinnamon
Hacienda Lowlands Saison – Farmhouse ale w/raspberries & hibiscus
Hacienda Let Me Tell You About My Boat (firkin) – Custom pin w/added vanilla beans
Door County Clawhammer – German style pilsner
Door County Big Sister – Witbier with rose hips
Wednesday, May 9th – B. United Beer Tasting with David Frost
We love B. United Imports. We love B. United Imports representative David Frost. Hence this event. B. United is a boutique importer, and they are coming correct with this one! See below for the full list:
De Dolle Arabier – Belgian Strong Pale Ale
De Dolle Oerbier – Belgian Strong Dark Ale
Etienne Dupot Cidre Triple – 3X Fermented Normandy Cidre
Christian Drouin Cider Brut Grande Cuvee – Aged Farmhouse Cider w/Ten Apple Varieties
Hofstetten Granit Eisbock – Rich, Strong German Lager
Wild Beer Somerset Saison – Farmhouse Ale w/Sorachi Ace hops
OEC Clavis Purpura – Blend of Spontaneous Ale, blueberries, and Kombucha
Thursday, May 10th – St. Bernardus Bash
We may go all-out with new hotness beers and weirdo styles here at Brasserie V, but remember: Belgian beers are the OG weirdo hotness. And since we’ve been proudly pouring St. Bernardus Abt 12, plus most of their other products, for over 10 years now, it’s always appropriate to celebrate with them. This will be less a “tap takeover” than simply a night of St. B appreciation, riddled with giveaways, raffles, special bottle popping, and a killer deal on “St. Bernardus Boilermakers:” a can (that’s right, a can) of St. Bernardus Wit and a sidecar of Abt 12.
Friday, May 11th – Collective Arts Draft Feature
One more for ya! Collective Arts is a nifty little brewing project out of Ontario, Canada “that aims to fuse the creativity of craft beer with the inspired talents of emerging artists, musicians and filmmakers.” Awesome. Their label artwork is some of the slickest we’ve seen yet, and the beer ain’t nothing to sneeze at either. We’ll be featuring these four core beers from them, and a brewery rep will be on hand to sample beers out to you, answer questions, etc.
Ransack the Universe – American style IPA w/Galaxy & Mosaic hops
Life in the Clouds – New England style IPA w/Simcoe & Mosaic hops
Mash Up the Jam – Mixed fermentation sour ale dry-hopped w/Citra & Nelson Sauvin
Dark Fruit Gose – Suuuuuuuper Fruited Gose
