First Madison Tapping: Duchesse de Bourgogne w/Cherries
September 5, 2018 @ 5:00 pm - 11:00 pm
We’ve been carrying the iconic Duchesse de Bourgogne here at Brasserie V pretty much since day one. An introduction to many would-be sour drinkers, this oak-aged sour brown ale defines the style alongside fellow luminaries Rodenbach and Bockor. The brewery has thus far resisted making any tweaks or variations to the beer–why, after all, mess with a good thing?–but this just made way too much sense.
So join us on September 5th at 5pm as we tap one of the first Madison kegs of Duchesse Cherry! This is the exact same base beer but with an addition of tart cherries to underscore the oaky tannin notes and hints of red fruit already present in the beer. We’ll also have the standard Duchesse on tap so you can try them side by side. Our friend Bobby from D&V International Importers will be on hand to talk shop, answer questions, and hand out swag. Don’t miss it!
