The inimitable David Frost, our regional B. United representative, will be here to hold court for a tasting of some exceptional, weird, and definitely wild beers from the importer’s portfolio. Expect one or two beers to show up as well from OEC, B. United’s experimental brewing arm.
Cost will be $26 for 8 beers, cheese, and spirited conversation. This will be a reservation only event, so call to reserve at 255-8500.
Alvinne Wild West Primitivo Grape – 6% abv
Oak-aged wild ale conditioned on Primitivo wine grapes in Pomerol red wine barrels. Sound fancy? It is.
A Vapeur Saison de Pipaix – 6% abv
Amber-colored saison with black pepper, ginger, coriander, and star anise.
BFM √225 Saison (1.5L magnums) – 5% abv
Saison-style ale aged on used Abbaye St. Bon-Chien barrels.
Sanford Orchards Straw & Oak – 6.9% abv
Dry cider filtered through wheat straw and barley, aged on oak barrels.
Del Ducato Brett Peat Daydream – 7% abv
Blend of peated barleywine, rauch-style marzen partially aged in Scotch barrels, and a brett golden ale.
OEC Phantasma Blend #3 – 9.5% abv
Strong sour brown ale aged on South African red zinfandel, Belgian Owl Whiskey, and Napa wine barrels.
Wild Beer Redwood – 5.8% abv
Sour ale aged on oak barrels with sloes and blackberries.
Del Ducato Verdi – 8.2% abv
Imperial stout brewed with smoked chili peppers.
