Regional Renown: A Night with Giant Jones

For the first in this new Monday series highlighting some of our favorite breweries from near and far, we’re happy and privileged to feature local heavy hitters Giant Jones. Since setting up shop just around the corner from Old Sugar Distillery about a year and half ago, Giant Jones has made good on their “Big Beers for Everyone” motto. Besides the Pale Weizenbock, which has quickly emerged as the brewery’s flagship, brewer Jessica Jones (who owns the business with her wife Erika) has released a Dark Weizenbock, an imperial stout, an imperial porter, an American style barleywine, a monster of a Scotch ale, and more.

Dark Weizenbock – 8.5% – dark, strong German style wheat bock

Pale Weizenbock – 7.3% – pale, strong German style wheat bock, natch

Burton Ale (Boudica) – 9.5% – English style strong ale
