Belgian Independence Day
July 20, 2019 @ 11:00 am - 11:00 pm
On July 21st, 1830, Leopold of Saxe-Cobourg-Goutha officially swore allegiance to the constitution drawn up by the Belgian Congress, thus becoming the inaugural Belgian king–or, as they prefer to more epically put it, “King of the Belgians.” It’s a momentous event, the culmination of decades of complex international conflict, and a cause for celebration for almost 200 years. Anyway, let’s drink some beer.
We’ll be partnering with our friends at Duvel-Moortgat for this event, featuring an array of Belgian and Belgian-style beers from their portfolio, including a couple of special kegs that you may not see again. Because we’re only open for dinner on Sundays, we’ll be celebrating a day earlier on Saturday the 20th. See below for the beer list, and we look forward to hosting you!
Duvel Single – Belgian golden ale
D’Achouffe Cherry Chouffe – Belgian Scotch style ale with cherries
Ommegang Three Philosophers (Red Wine Barrel) – Quad/kriek blend, aged in red wine barrels
Boulevard Tank 7 – Farmhouse ale
Boulevard Saison Brett – Dry hopped saison fermented with brettanomyces
