SUMMARY:Beer Tasting: Off the Lambic Path
DESCRIPTION:  \nWe love traditional lambic and gueuze beers here at Brasserie V; it’s one of the styles that built our restaurant’s beverage program\, and we’re still one of the only bars in the state to carry them consistently. These are artful\, carefully considered beers that take months of logistical planning\, years of waiting\, and more than a little luck. But we’re not doing those… \nInstead\, we’re focusing on the wilder (heh heh) world of sour beers\, celebrating breweries that take the model and concept of sour beer beyond boundaries\, beyond the confines of BJCP guidelines or preconceived notions. These beers are weird. \n8 Wired Grand Cru 2015 \nDark sour ale aged on cascara and black currants in Pinot Noir barrels. \nHof Ten Dormaal Cerezas y Chocolate \nDark sour ale aged in oak barrels with raspberries and cocoa. \nUpland Dantalion 2015 \nDark sour ale aged in white oak barrels with a blend of spices. \nTrou du Diable L’Ours \nBlend of farmhouse ale aged on Banyuls wine casks for two years with a larger portion of fresh saison. \nWild Beer Redwood \nSour ale aged on used Scotch whisky and Burgundy wine barrels with Sloes\, Blackberries\, Raspberries\, Mulberrys\, Damsons\, Plums\, Gooseberries\, and Elderberries. \nWild Beer Smoke n’ Barrels \nGose-style ale aged in oak barrels with smoked sea salt and smoked orange segments \n
